Unlike our street engine range, the Ultimate range are designed to be at home on the track as well as the street.
Whilst these engines are street-usable, they are designed to achieve their true horsepower potential at the higher end of their rpm capability i.e on the track.
By using quality race components with aftermarket steel or alloy racing blocks, they can safely operate at levels in excess of 6,500 rpm.
These engines offer the perfect solution for cars that require the power normally generated from a big block engine, but are designed around a small block. |

Our Ultimate range of engines are built with either seasoned or new racing blocks, which start at 5.7 litre and can go up to 7.0 litres. All of these engines are fitted with Canton race sumps as standard, although Accu sump & dry sumping is also available. These engines are also designed for turbo and supercharged applications and can be used as a basis for any bespoke power requirement or application.
The Ultimate range can be run with higher compression ratios, in order to achieve increased horsepower requirements. All engines use mechanical rather than hydraulic roller camshafts, with aluminium roller rockers and ignition is electronic for high-end rev control capability. Our engines are built with forged crankshafts and H-beam rods, with top-end hypereutectic or custom forged pistons. Hi torque starter motors and alternator serpentine drive systems are also used as standard.
Lola Chevy: a 383 built for Lola Sports Cars
Lola Sportscars Ltd recently purchased one of our 383 stroker Ultimate Chevys for a new Lola T70 historic racing series in Japan.
The engine needed to be powerful and tough enough to endure track racing conditions, and so the Street Torker engine was commissioned from our Ultimate range.
But this being a historic racing series, the engine required a set of downdraft Webbers in order to be correct for the period.
We had a lot of fun testing this engine and it promises to be a monster both on and off the track - perfect for high performance cars such as the Ultima & T70. |
